Pretty Birdie

I have been wanting to try out some digital images from Silhouette for a while and finally got around to it this week. I have used my favourite easel card style card and chose soft pastel colours to compliment the bird image.

I used Bazzill card in a pale green for my basic card shape and formed the design with papers from Basic Grey Porcelain paper pad. I embellished with flowers and gems from stash and added leaves using X cut embossing punch and one of Nellie's punches.

A closer view showing the embellishment and sentiment from Craft Work Cards. The card used for matting was from DCWV Metallic Stack in Brass.

Baby Boy Card

I was very pleased to be asked to make a baby card this week as I have been wanting to try out these papers. I have made another easel card and have used only 3 colours - blue, white and silver. The sentiment is from Craftworkcards and the flowers are from my stash.

Celebration Cake

I have said before that I love shaped cards and I make no excuse for making another but this one is a bit more special. It could be used as a wedding or anniversary card as well as for other special celebrations.
This view shows that the back is the same as the front.
The cake has several layers of decoupage and I used Liquid Pearls to enhance the icing effect. To finish I used Glossy Accents to the black hearts and added a clear gem to each pink heart.

Come on England !

To support the England football team who will be playing a match tonight, I have made this easel card in red, white and blue.

I am including more views of the same card just to wave the flag for England and wish them good luck!!!

I used the Anglomania range from Craftwork Cards with some bits from stash.

Say Hello to Jasper

I have been a busy girl today mainly because I love crafting but also because I am wanting to keep occupied and be away from the kitchen and food !!
I have used Jasper from the fabulous Colour me Crazy CD rom from Kirsty Wiseman . I love the colours and have kept the design fairly simple to enhance Jasper as the focal point.
A closer view to show more detail.

This is the house that Jack built

I love shaped cards so I am quite keen to try out new ideas. This time I have made a circle card and used the house idea to fit in with this weeks Polka Doodles Challenge theme of Nursery Rhymes.

I added interest to the plain sky background by lightly chalking then spraying with Spray and Sparkle. I used Glossy Accents on the door and window of the house and in the centre of the flower. A small black gem is used for the door handle and I finished with Candy to highlight the circle.

Anniversary Card

I have been wanting to use these very cute Owls from Polka Doodles for a while and their latest Blog Challenge has given me the opportunity to give them an airing. In real life the colours are very pink but I have struggled to get a decent photo.

A closer view shows the flowers, punched leaves in white and the stitched buttons that I added for embellishment together with a length of pink velvet ric-rac. To finish I used Glossy Accents to high-light the eyes of the main pair of owls.

An Apple for the Teacher

It won't be long before the End of Term for our Schools (I can hear the Mum's and Dad's shouting "Nooo,it's ages yet" and the teachers whispering "yessss!!"), so for the hard-working Teachers who teach my gorgeous and very clever Grandchildren I have started to make some Thank-You cards just for them.

I love shaped cards so appropriately I have made cards in the shape of Apples (for the Teacher!). I used the apple template from Anna Marie Designs,BasicGrey kioshi paper together with flowers and other bits from my stash. The sentiment was stamped using Paula Pascual's mixed sentiments by Personal Impressions.

Black and White Card - Ladybirds

I love these ladybirds - so cute x
I have entered this card into Create4fun Challenge Week 23 and Craftycatz Weekly Challenge 35.

Black and White Card - 2 Flowers

I really do like Black and White combinations especially with red so here are two cards I made earlier using images from Polka Doodles Sugar Birdies CD Rom, I added red and white Gingham ribbon to one and Glossy Accents to the Ladybirds with a bit of faux stitching and a few red buttons to finish off the design.

And now the Boats

I used all images from Colour me Crazy and made a 6x6 easel card with a co-ordinated Bazzill card stock.I also used DCWV metallic card to mat the central image. You can't tell from the photo but I decoupaged the sails. To fit the challenge I machine stitched with both zig-zag and straight stitches. A few final bits finished off the design.
I am hoping to enter one of these cards in the current Polka doodles Blog Challenge week 21 (Wish me luck!!)

Boats and Lighthouses

I love the Seaside and if I could I would live near the sea but at the moment I am land-bound so I will have to make do with these images from the new Kirsty Wiseman CDrom

Burger and Chips

I love Polka Doodles and I love food so this card is ideal for me. I made it for one of my teen-aged grandsons but I think it is suitable for a variety of people and ages.

I used papers and images from Polka Doodles Not for the Girls and built up the design by forming and then layering the images.
