Rapsody of Roses

Didn't I tell you I would be back with this design idea ? I might as well apologise now because I just can't get enough of this design and I know I will use it again. Do you forgive me ? Do you mind ?
This time I have made a bright and summery version as a very special card for a special friend who is celebrating her birthday this month. It is also my DT card today for My Time to Craft Challenge this week.

The fantastic flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the papers are K and Company Madeline.
As the papers are quite 'busy' I wanted a contrast to break-up the detail, so I chose quite a bright green Bazzill card stock as the base. To be honest I am not sure if it isn't too bright but at least it is cheerful.
The Roses are definitely the best bit of this card and if you haven't got your hands on some yet I would head over to have a look at them here - I'm sure you will love them too.

As for the rest of the design I used :-
Scraps from my box for the leaves,
2 Xcut Botanical Punches,
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch,
Spellbinders Fancy Labels,
Sentiments from Craftwork Cards,
Ribbon and pearl-head pins from stash.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
1.2 Sisters Challenge Blog 12 - Birthday
2.Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge  6 - A sketch or One for the Girls

Quick and Cute

It is Tuesday again and time for another challenge over at My Time To Craft. This week the theme is Quick and Cute. It is a perfect theme after the stress of half-term holidays and Halloween. Why not relax and enjoy making something quick and easy and instead of nasty ghosties and creepy things you can indulge in cuteness and sweetness ? Ah !

This card was definitely quick and easy to make and the mouse image is so cute. Not only that but the total cost was minimal because I used the My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary papers that came FREE in a Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine which I bought back in August and had never used. They are lovely summer colours and a nice change at this time of year.Even the sentiment was included in the paper stack.
The layers are raised using foam pads to give dimension, the image was coloured with Promarkers and I couldn't resist the final cuteness - two tiny pink flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Pop over to MTTCC this week and show us your quick and cute creations as I would love to see your fabby creations xox

Another baby card.

Can you forgive me for posting another baby card ? Anyway, here is the card :

This time I have used the cute pram design and for the first time I have tried these gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts in pinks and lemon to compliment the papers. The image is mounted on to glitter card and cut with a nestie.

On the base of the easel I have layered glitter card cut with a Martha Stewart punch and topped it with some lovely cotton cream lace I purchased from Polka Doodles recently. Another new purchase is the Fancy Tag die from Spellbinders which I used on the glitter card and to finish it all off the sentiment is from Craft work cards. I hope you like the end result and I am hoping to enter it into the following Challenges :-
1.Allsorts Week 68 - New Beginnings
2.CES Challenge 2 - Floral Frenzy
3.Cute Card Thursday Challenge 128 - Material Girl
4.Fab'n'Funky Challenge 38 - Living in a material world.
